Got the brisket sandwich today, to-go. It was ready quickly. Cole slaw and hot sauce. Fries were great also. I was assisted as soon as I walked in the door.

Great lunch place. The pork and brisket tacos were amazing. The service was helpful and fantastic. So many good things on the menu it's hard to choose. Everything about the experience was great.

Good BBQ for the money. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but if in the area give it a shot. I do wish they gave you higher quantity of sides. Low quantity of food doesn't make you feel it is a great value. However, that could be a side effect of the to-go "platters" brought to the table. Again, it's 2020.Dine in right now is not comfortable nor ideal. Folding plastic chairs are just bad, but understandable considering it's 2020.

I was on my way to Florida about 2PM and needed something to eat. Plugged in my desire for a BBQ joint around Petersburg, VA and this one came up. Close to 95S and easy to get to and get back on the highway. The place is a walk-up after the lunch crowd clears out and you get your food at the orange shipping container and you can go or eat in the dining room. I went here in 2015 and I think they had just build the dining room. Good food at a great price! They reset after the lunch crowd so you can do a quick in and out for quick bite.

Service was slower than expected, atmosphere was loud and industrial as are most places these days. Food was ample portions, BBQ sandwich had a tad of gristle, I liked the course cut coleslaw with the green onion, fries as they should be .

Defitely the best BBQ place around! If you like large portions and great ribs you need to try Saucy's. I had the 1/2 rack with Mac and cheese and sweet potato and mashed potato combo....amazing! The ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. The BBQ sauce is smoky and sweet. I never heard of sweet potatoes and mashed potoes combined, I was very impressed. The Mac and cheese was creamy and tasty. We also tried the cueball for an app...so good. Thank you Scott for coming out of the kitchen and talking to us and making great suggestions!

Some of the best ribs and mashed sweet potatoes I’ve ever had!! 😋 Great last minute pit stop on our road trip. Only took away 1 star for no changing table in either bathroom 👎🏼 PSA: wall ones are easy to install & can order on Amazon! 🏆

Plenty of seating, decent variety to choose from, clean environment, friendly and attentive staff, and spirited atmosphere. Specials were good and fairly priced. They have some unique sauce choices I have not seen elsewhere. Good selection of draught beers. Location is a little shady, but coming around.

Brisket was good! No slaw or extra sauce though. The chicken street tacos were loaded with hot sauce. Kinda ruined them for me. Service was ok. She didn’t check on us until we were done eating.

Good BBQ ribs and chicken. The sweet potatoes are always a favorite and the chicken toco have a great flavor.

Our first visit and we sat outside because the weather was perfect. The waitress Brittany was super nice and professional. It was a little hard to understand her through the mask, but it is what it is. The brisket was tasty, but lacked a little salt for my taste. The fresh made pork rinds were outstanding!! They hit the table still warm! We will definitely visit again on a date night.

The food was good as always. I just hate I didnt try the cheesy grits! I heard they were so good too! On my list til next time😊

I’m all about customer service and was basically greeted by dining in or carry out and had a menu pretty much thrown on the counter for me. I don’t know if the stress of the situation going on right now but after I ordered I was told ok you have to get out and wait in your car. I don’t mind not being around the people inside but the rudeness of her was horrible. Was almost tempted to turn around and walk back out and ask for a refund instead. Please thank you basically goes a little ways still in the world. I don’t even care how the food tastes now

This was the first time I've been here. I got the half chicken and it was amazing!! The sauce had just the right amount of kick. The potato salad was amazing as well! I would highly recommend this little gem hidden in Petersburg.

First time I've been inside the establishment since corona took over, and it was nice. Their cleaning practices were good, most of the employees had a mask on. Service was lagging a bit but once I was helped, everything ran quick and smoothly. Definitely would recommend to family and friends.

This was some of the best BBQ that I’ve had. They had plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade. We ordered the Saucy Sampler, brisket sandwich, fried Mac and cheese balls, grits, Mac and cheese, kale and beans, cornbread, and peanut butter pie. Everything was delicious, especially the sides. The semi sweet tea and lemonade were bottomless, and service was very good. They even offered to give us another refill of our beverages for the road.

I had the mac balls and the other one (forgot the name) and the sampler. I wanted to sample some things to see what I liked best and the ribs knocked it out of the park. The sauce served with the apps should be bottled and sold. My only dislike was the cilantro in the coleslaw (only because I don't like too much of it), also the staff was nice, but too laid back and no luster. Some even looked like their clothes weren't clean. I know it's the food industry, but that's exactly my point. I will return and recommend the ribs.

We stopped here by chance on our trip to Richmond, VA. The brisket, ribs and pulled pork were tender and perfectly cooked. The slaw on the pulled pork sandwich was crisp and flavorful. Also, their fries were awesome! Cute, clean interior and no nonsense operation with excellent service!

Solid bbq in a clean, casual setting. Ribs were tender and well seasoned. The chicken was also cooked very well. Recommended

Ordered a whole rack with sauce on side! Nice size portions and meat on rib.

Good food... good atmosphere!

Cool atmosphere. Good service. Friendly. Water always refilled. Pork sliders, famous fries, coleslaw, and cornbread were yummy and we ate almost all of those. Good but not great. Make sure you ask for butter if you want any for your cornbread. The rub and sauce on the pork, ribs, brisket and chicken were tasty. Just OK ribs (too fatty and not fall off the bone so make sure you get the pork slider if you like fall off the bone ribs). Mac and cheese just average. We tried out this place since were in town for a few days. Nothing was a wow factor so we do not plan on going back if in the area again.They have tables inside and picnic / benches or you can sit outside and eat under the umbrellas for shading. They had beer and desserts as well but we did not try those.

This was good BBQ. The sides were unique and good as well. Saw they have a very nice beer selection. Would have loved to have seen some vinegar based sauce and maybe some malt vinegar for the fries. May I suggest the malt vinegar from the Blue Mountain brewery?

The BBQ was ok nothing to write home to mom about. I do enjoy sampling different flavors when I travel. The server said she thinks they smoke with white oak. So I wanted to eat light and chose the brisket street tacos. The portion size was fair although they look extremely small in the photo. My cuts were not moist and tender, pulling away easily on each bite. However, the ingredients were a delicious mix of sweet and spicy mixed with fresh greens. A little bit of smoke flavor would have been great tho...For dessert I chose the apple pie a-la-mode. This was a deep fried pie with a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Not bad, again a fair sided portion. Several beers on tap but I chose the iced tea. There is no unsweet option and the pitcher is lightly sweetened with 1 cup of sugar. Also had a fresh lemonade to go - tasted like real lime was used. Would definately go back and sample the pulled pork.

This was a unique place has great tasting food selection. The pulled Boar sandwich was excellent and tasty. They have a good beer selection. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they gave their honest opinion on the food. The facility was very modern and extremely clean.

Ok place is usally a hit or miss. Idk most days the food is not fresh tasting and i cant prove it but sometimes the meat is just tough and taste like its been sitting out or recooked from a day before. Not worth all the expensive prices i believe i paid 6 bucks for a plain sausage dog yes thats way over priced it should have a gold bunn if there going to price gouge at least have fresh better food. I say this out of the 10 times ive been its only been good food maybe 2 times so for me its a 2 star.

Visiting from Texas. BBQ is different but impressive. Had the brisket plate with slaw. Meat was tender and moist. Slaw was freshly made and crisp. Good portion for a midday snack. Ordered the Mac Balls & Cue Balls as an apetizer. Whoa baby these were good! Winter beer rotation tempted me to try a Gingerbread stout...yes sir! 🍺 Great friendly service. Cool atmosphere. Laid back restaurant. Still partial to Texas BBQ but this place hit he spot.

Good environment, and good service. Food was good as well. I ordered Chicken Tacos with Famous Fries. For my appetizer, I had a large half and half order of Cue Balls and Mac Balls. I preferred the Cue Balls and the sauce that was served with them. The chicken tacos we're good, but the chicken was a bit dry. Over all, I liked it and would come again.

Best pulled chicken BBQ I've ever had, hands down. Mix that with great sides and a Stone Xocoveza and you have a winner!

Great food! Cheesy grits on point!!! Waitress was nice and attentive. Only 3 stars because the guy behind the bar seemed bothered when I asked if we seat ourselves, and he was the first impression of the restaurant.

This is a GEM in Petersburg. I had such a great experience. We ate outside on the patio the breeze was blowing and we could even hear a nearby train. The industrial atmosphere was awesome and the bathroom has Febreeze the staff was great but the one person who stood out the most was Melissa. She was amazing with house recommendations and serving/ checking on us. Her high spirits and attitude makes me want to come back again and again. Thank you!

Saucy's is my favorite BBQ in the world. I thought it was wonderful the first time I ever tasted it, and it has only gotten better over the years. We got 25 lbs of their pork BBQ for my wedding a few years ago and of course it was a huge hit and no one could get enough. I moved out of town a couple years ago and visited this past week and of course had to go to Saucy's. I was not disappointed. We had a big group and all of our food was perfect. There is literally nothing on the menu that isn't amazing. Try it all. On top of spectacular food, the service is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. They do serve beer here. There is a large seating area inside, as well as a bar, and they have a large patio with tables out front. The parking lot is ample and well-placed, with two entrances/exits. Overall, you can't go wrong with anything at Saucy's, they are great for a quick bite to eat, a family dinner, or a large event.

I’ve had BBQ everywhere for nearly 40 years. Definitely among the best. Had half rack of ribs, mashed sweet potatoes and homemade slaw. Exceptional! Don’t miss it in Petersburg, VA. Never full like this. Huge ribs! Left one on the plate. Too much for any one person. Enjoy!

The restaurant is designed very cool with the exposed brick and galvanized pipe table with concrete slab tops. The fries were great and my wife said that her brisket sandwich was really good. My chicken sandwich was very chewy and could have used a bit more BBQ sauce.

My dad recommended this while we were in the area. I know that he knows good BBQ, so it's the first place we went. From the moment we got our Cue Balls appetizer, I knew we were in the right place! Everything was delicious! I had the pulled pork tacos and my husband had the brisket sandwich. The sauce for both was divine! We'd definitely go again!

Good call. Kind of in the hood. We used TripAdvisor to find it. Thank Goodness we did. Turned out to be a gem. Staff was good, food was good. Stick with the ribs they really were the best. Seasoned fries, good cornbread.. We were happy. Good space for a party of 8. 👍🏽

Fast-casual fun and funky BBQ joint with good food and reasonable prices for the portions and quality. The service has been quick and considerate both times we've visited. I've sampled most of the meat options, sides, and desserts without any disappointment. The beer selection seems extensive to me, but I always get water to focus on the food. It's family and kid-friendly, but cool enough for any hip single or couples coming for a quick bite, longer sit-down, or takeout! There is walkup service outside sometimes too, I've heard, which would be fine when the weather is right for it. Old Petersburg has always been an enjoyable visit with many unique dining options and other shops, so walk around before or after your Saucey's!
